I served as a missionary in Sweden for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from May 1978 to June 1980. I chose to donate my time for two years to bear witness to those I contacted the reality of the life and mission of Jesus Christ, including all he has done in restoring his true gospel on the earth in recent times. Although it was many years ago, I still hold stongly to the purpose and memories of that wonderful experience.
This blog is intended to give an overview of my experiences in Sweden, and to offer to anyone interested further information regarding my testimony of Jesus Christ.
President and Sister Holmgren
The Holmgrens: Wonderful people, great leaders, good examples, and loving second parents. They helped make a mission in Sweden a special experience.
I believe in and know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, Creator of the World, Savior of Mankind, the Great Redeemer. He is a living, resurrected being who loves us all. He has restored his gospel and church in its fullness in recent times and provides guidance and leadership through modern-day, living prophets and apostles. Much has been revealed through this restoration which gives us greater understanding and insight into who God is and his purposes for his children here on earth. I believe and know that the truth and reality of God, his son Jesus Christ, and the gospel in its fullness can be understood and accepted by all who are willing to open their hearts to the influence of the Holy Spirit.
These things I know because I have received a witness of these truths through the influence of the spirit in my heart.
For more on my beliefs, see the posts regarding My Testimony. I am willing to correspond with any regarding what I believe and know.
